The BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) is a channel that is available on many cable systems around the world. The BBC has been given the backronym (back acronym) of “British Brainwashing Corporation” since at least 1968 by those who believe that the BBC broadcasts propaganda.
 
Other BBC nicknames include “British Bullshit Corporation,” “Big Brother Corporation” and “Buggering British Children.” “Canadian Brainwashing Corporation” (for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, or CBC) is a similar nickname.
