Big Apple on a hockey jersey (New York Rangers practice jersey, 1994)

The New York Rangers are a professional ice hockey team based in New York City. A “Big Apple” (New York City’s symbol) appeared on a Rangers practice jersey in 1994.

“In all my years of following sports logos and uniforms I have to say I really do love the nod to the city with the blue ‘big Apple’ hockey logo on the Rangers ‘94 practice jerseys…simple but unique” was posted on X/Twitter by FryRice on December 9, 2019. Mark Messier is shown wearing an orange New York Rangers jersey. There is a blue apple between two crossed hockey sticks on the sleeve. Not much is known about the history of this hockey jersey.
